Theme Park

-In a Hemp Field-

The „Hemp Theme Park“ is a green place of excursions for the whole family. Hemp, the plant which is used here, is on the one hand shrouded in legend and extraordinary. On the other hand it is a lasting plant which is very useful for the environment: Hemp counts as a renewable resource and it is harvested and processed environmentally after the season. On an acreage of the size of almost seven soccer fields a tricky maze with an attractive aerial image cut into the field.

Among others the Theme Park offers various theme weeks with current reference to nature and environment. The first theme week deals with renewable energies: one gets informed about lasting energy production on the base of the sun, water, wind, etc. The next topic is going to be “Climate and Environment” in which we will introduce new ideas how one can adjust the own acting according to sustainability, energy saving and climate protection. The third theme week deals with agriculture: one finds out a lot about different kinds and possibilities of a lasting agriculture. The conclusion is made by the theme week „renewable resources“: during this week the profit and advantages fort the environment by the use of renewable resources will be shown.

These theme weeks are directly integrated in the maze. All over the maze one finds information boards with demonstrative explanations which inform about the current topic. On the basis of these hidden information boards, audio- or touchstations one can start an exciting tour of discovery through the maze. Outside of the field there is an information mile with deepening details about the current theme week. In this way a playful aquirement of knowledge about current topics concerning nature and environment takes place. And this is not only happening on a theoretic basis but with all senses: the information are also to find at stations that work with ones sense of touch or acousthesia. Finally there is also a green nature trail: walking this trail, one can get to know various plants and try and compare their properties.
Really exciting about the maze is the possibility to have the own event organized there: if it is a birthday party, a company outing or even a wedding: In cooperation with the managers there will be an extraordinary event realized.
Even creepy ghosts are up to their tricks in the theme park: spooky music, daemons and eerie figures creep throughout five nights through the jungle of hemp plants. It is going to be an unforgettable, excitingly extraordinary adventure.
Reliving ancient on-goings in person? There is another big event which you can experience in the park – a knight feast. Old knight’s armours, fire-breathers and barking market-women – three days long, one can partake in the bodacious happenings.
The question of where to go to on a Sunday family trip – who can’t relate to how hard it is to find a place that is interesting for everybody? The kids want to have fun and action and the parents want to relax and enjoy the time out of work: all of this is possible in the theme park. For the kids there is e.g. a bouncy-bounce built of bales of straw, for the grown ups there is a nice beer garden where one can enjoy a cold Bavarian beer and of course there is the maze which is interesting for both parties. Furthermore the technical college “Weihenstephan” provides something like a “college for kids” in the park: real professors support the transfer of knowledge to the kids. For days long, they present themes which are taught at the green centre of expertise in a way which is appropriate for children.
Finally the theme park organises a „green classroom“ during school days. It is a great opportunity to get out of the narrow school building into the nature but still learn something: topics referential to the Bavarian curriculum are presented age-based – not only factual, but with a motto edutainment: playful learning. That’s how it is guaranteed, that the essential experience becomes centric.
